Owner & Clinic Director
Dr. Cogan’s calling was born from a devastating injury of his own. A wrestler in high school, he was severely injured after landing on his back during a match – so badly hurt, he could barely move. Fearing he’d never walk again, he visited doctor after doctor, until he found the one who changed his fate and set in motion his mission to bring hope and healing to others. Two weeks later, Dr. Cogan was the 105-pound freestyle state champion – and he’d found his future career.
After decades of helping thousands of patients through chiropractic care, including the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and Olympic athletes, Dr. Cogan wanted to take the next step in providing innovative, natural treatment options for patients who, like him, had tried doctor after doctor without results…and offer the same kind of high-level treatment options that are available to professional athletes. When he heard the founder of The Disc Institute® was retiring, he knew that was his opportunity to combine The Disc Institute’s highly-effective IntraDiscNutrosis® with his own extensive experience in high-tech, non-invasive treatment protocols that provide patients with relief when all other treatments have failed. So in 2019, The Disc Institute became The Nerve & Disc Institute offering hope and healing to patients throughout the State of Michigan and beyond.
Today, Dr. Cogan’s unique approach to treating the complete nerve pathway with innovative technologies helps patients with debilitating pain from neuropathy or serious spinal disc conditions find hope, relief from pain and helps them get back to doing the things they love without drugs, injections, or surgery. His all-natural approach to helping the body heal itself has been the breakthrough his patients needed to improve their quality of life and get lasting results.
